Our vision for the design of our HDU terrace is a mixture of small and big plants as well as an open space to guarantee a quality of stay. To make sure we’ll be able to present those at the upcoming finals we have finally planted our flowers and crops into the wooden boxes that we have previously built out of old potato boxes. Before we planting, we filled them with a lava rock drainage material and substrate.
The variety of regional crops and herbs mixed with ornamental plants for wild bees in order to enhance biodiversity, present the growing need for a self-sufficient lifestyle.
Our sponsor Leonhards, a landscape gardening from Wuppertal, has helped us a lot with the preparations and the planting itself. Due to that we were able to finish the planting in just one day. A big thank you to all people involved!
