Fienchen is Wuppertal’s sharing network for cargo bikes and a model for the urban transportation of the future. Fienchen’s system is based on trust and supports a strong community: The rental is free of charge. Anyone, whether private individuals, businesses or institutions can become a sharing station. All bikes are issued personally and always free of charge.
Fienchen offers four models of cargo bikes. They call them Fienchen, Pina, E-Mil and Olaf: Fienchen are the standard cargo bikes for up to 70kg load. Pina and E-Mil are smaller bikes that are supported by a small motor and can carry lighter loads. Olaf is the newest type of bike for larger and heavier loads.
Fienchen is one of our partners. Our house at the Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22 finals will also be a Fienchen station. From 10–26.06.2022 you can come to our booth at SDE21/22 to test the bikes yourself.
The project Fienchen is initiated by IG Fahrradstadt Wuppertal, Talradler.de und UtopiastadtRad. If you want to support Fienchen you can donate to the project via BetterPlace.
